Enertech
India is the world’s 6th largest energy user, comprising about 3.3% of the overall global energy expenditure per year. Indian has a natural advantage with an abundance of sun, water and wind to generate renewable energy. It is already the world’s second largest exploiter of Wind Energy with 1000 MW. It also ranks 4th in the world in generating power through biomass. Indian techniques of using Biofuel through jatropha and sugarcane molasses also hold great potential. The Enertech Exhibition and Conference is the latest event to be organised by the Chemtech Foundation. This will focus on the growing importance of renewable energy sources in India. Enertech will be held for the first time in 2010 and is the first such event of its kind.
