I am proud to announce that India has been able to produce more vaccines through serum institute - and may be put together with one or two other Indian vaccine manufacturers who are coming up - than the vaccines produced by all the multinationals worldwide put together. And I think this is something we never expected to do. And our products were cheap compared to that of MNCs in terms of price. Mr Gulab Nabi Azad once told me not to use the ward cheap, instead he suggested affordable and high quality products since he felt the word cheap is misleading people may take it in a wrong way
