From ‘Study Circle Initiative’ In 1980s Which Aimed To Expose The Students Of Engineering To The Latest Trends In Chemical Processing Technologies Chemtech Renamed The Initiative As ‘Student Outreach Program’ & Realigned The Charter Of The Program To ‘Develop Future Leaders’ During The 25th Edition Of Flagship Event ChemTECH World Expo In 2013 To Inspire The Students Of Engineering & Sciences To Join The Industry. Students Interact With Industry Leaders In ‘Icon Lectures’, Present Potential Solutions To The Industry Defined Problems & New Ideas In ‘Student Innovation Hub’, Participate In ‘Internship Programs’ For Industrial Trainings And ‘Pitch Innovative Ideas To Potential Investors’. The Initiative Is Run By Student Volunteers Through In Campus Campaigns & Social Media Supported By Chemtech Foundation.

HIGHLIGHTS OF SOP-2024
Student innovation Hubs
Direct dialogue between Industry stalwarts and students to ‘Develop Future Leaders’ and attract them to join process industries that form the backbone of economic & industrial development. Chemtech facilitates interactions of students with industry leaders to enable the students from the domains of Sciences, Technology Engineering & Mathematics (STEM) to understand the future trends which helps them Identify the emerging areas to explore career options, develop leadership skills, and comprehend the industry expectations.
Student innovation Hubs
Students aspiring to join the industry display the prototypes of their ideas & innovations during the international exhibition alongside the industry exhibits. An independent jury comprising of experts from Industry & Academia interact with the student teams jointly to judge the works showcased by students. Participants have to register for the competition in advance.
Human resources teams from organizations from Energy, Chemicals & Pharma sectors interview the potential candidates to provide on- site industrial training across the functions of plant operations, process, design, R&D, marketing and relevant functions to engineers & science students for short term training programs. Students have pre-register and share their bios and area of interest with the volunteers to share with HR teams who identify the potential candidates for on-site interviews
Innovations & Ideas presented by students are judged by an independent jury and the teams are felicitated by the Industry leaders. Recognition includes certificate and cash prize for the top 3 winning teams. Rest of the teams receive certificate for participation.
